Jeff Stelling predicts where Tottenham will finish in 26/27 Premier League table

TalkSport pundit Jeff Stelling has tipped Tottenham to potentially secure Champions League qualification in the Premier League 26-27 season.

Tottenham Hotspur will be aiming for a much better showing in the Premier League this season after an abysmal last two league campaigns saw them finish above the drop zone in 17th place.

Relegation looked like a real possibility for Spurs last season, with the Lilywhites once finding themselves in 18th place during the run-in.

However, the appointment of Roberto De Zerbi proved to be a masterstroke, as the Italian ensured Spurs avoided the drop to the Championship while maintaining their 100 per cent relegation-free record in the Premier League.

Spurs must now build on last campaign and make a marked improvement in terms of their league finish as they embark on what is a new era under De Zerbi.

Jeff Stelling predicts Tottenham to finish fifth in 26-27 Premier League table

TalkSport pundit Jeff Stelling has now sent in his Premier League predictions for the 26-27 league season, and has predicted Tottenham to finish 12 places higher than last campaign.

The pundit has Roberto De Zerbi’s men as high as fifth place in his recent predictions. Making up his top five are: Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham.

Interestingly, he has the Lilywhites above the likes of Aston Villa and Liverpool, who have finished above Spurs in the last two Premier League campaigns.

Spurs well placed to push for Europe under De Zerbi

It is not impossible for Tottenham to make such a big jump next season in the Premier League. At the moment, Spurs do not have any European commitments, having missed out last campaign after a dismal season.

With just domestic competitions to worry about, which means fewer matches for De Zerbi’s men, Spurs are in a good position to improve and push for a European place this season.

Should Tottenham clinch a top five finish this campaign, that could well be enough for the Lilywhites to make a return to the Champions League.
