Jenas sums up many Tottenham fans’ thoughts on Hugo Lloris

Ever since transferring from Lyon to Tottenham, Hugo Lloris has established himself as one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League, and the World.

He managed to cap off his career by lifting the World Cup as France captain last summer, but many are now questioning whether he is still good enough to be Tottenham’s number one.

Lloris is still the Tottenham captain, implying that Pochettino still has the upmost faith in the Frenchman, but mistakes have begun to creep into his game of late.

Over the past season or so, it seems as if Hugo is far more prone to the odd error than he ever used to be.

This was summed up by his performance against Chelsea in which he let a shot at the near post squeeze between his legs before going walk abouts for Trippier’s own goal.

However, in the very next game, Lloris saved a last minute penalty in the North London Derby to earn his side a point.

Ex-Spurs man Jermaine Jenas has summed up many Spurs fans’ thoughts on the matter (BT Sport – quoted by HITC): “I don’t know where to sit with Hugo.

“In midweek he should have done better and today you’re like, ‘God, I love you’. What a save that was in such a special moment.”
