Jermain Defoe believes Conte will be enjoying coaching 29-year-old Spurs man

Jermain Defoe has lavished praise on Son Heung-min after his brace against West Ham on Sunday, with the former Tottenham striker insisting Antonio Conte is surely loving working with the South Korean.

While Harry Kane has been back to his best, there have been some concerns over Son’s form over recent weeks as his goals had dried up and he seemed to be lacking sharpness in the final third.

However, the forward showed once again on Sunday why he is so highly thought of, putting in an electric display and posing the Hammers backline problems throughout the encounter.

Son netted a goal in each half to help the Lilywhites to a 3-1 win, with both of his goals being set up by Kane.

The embrace the forward had with Conte on the sidelines after he came off in stoppage time, showed exactly what the Spurs boss thought of his display.

Defoe believes that the Tottenham head coach would be loving working with a player like the 29-year-old.

The Spurs legend told Sky Sports Premier League (6:37 pm, March 20, 2022): “He (Son) is unbelievable. Brilliant player. Always smiling. Must be a joy for the manager to coach him.”

Spurs Web Opinion

Both Son and Kane seem like they are a manager’s dream. Not only are they both world-class footballers but they seem like extremely humble individuals, who are always willing to learn and get better. They are both also willing to sacrifice themselves for the betterment of the team and genuinely seem to take joy in each other’s success.
