Jermaine Jenas names four former Spurs stars in his Ultimate Teammate 11

Jermaine Jenas was asked to pick his ultimate Teammate 11 by GiveMeSport and four former Tottenham players made it into what is a formidable team.

Jenas played with some outstanding players at Tottenham, Newcastle United and England. So the pundit faced some difficult selection decisions when asked to pick the best eleven from the players he shared a dressing room with.

Unsurprisingly, his former captain at Spurs, Ledley King, made it into the eleven, with the former Tottenham man joined by Rio Ferdinand and Ashley Cole in a back three.

Another former Spurs great, Gareth Bale, started on the left, with Jenas’ midfield also boasting David Beckham, Steven Gerrard and his former Lilywhites teammate Michael Carrick.

Finally, the 41-year-old named Robbie Keane in an attacking trio which also consisted of Wayne Rooney and Alan Shearer.

Some Spurs fans will perhaps be left scratching their heads at the exclusion of the likes of Luka Modric and Rafael van der Vaart.

While I can understand Jenas’ love for Carrick, who was exceptional in his two seasons at Tottenham, I cannot quite comprehend how he has left out Luka Modric, who was arguably one of the best players in the Premier League during his time at White Hart Lane.
