Jermaine Jenas shares his Tottenham v Newcastle United prediction

Tottenham Hotspur return to N17 on Sunday for the visit of Newcastle United in the third Premier League fixture of the new season.

While Tottenham are still unbeaten having picked up four points from a maximum of six, Newcastle are pointless after suffering consecutive defeats.

Spurs are boosted by the return of Heung-min Son following his suspension and the South Korean’s involvement in the fixture last season proved to be crucial when he scored the later winner at Wembley.

After grinding out a respectable draw at Manchester City last time out, Spurs fans will certainly be expecting a return to winning ways against the Magpies.

The appointment of Steve Bruce as boss certainly wasn’t well-received by the majority of the Toon Army and another loss will only add to the pressure on the former Sunderland manager’s shoulders.

Jermaine Jenas, who played for both sides during his career has shared his prediction ahead of the game and believes that it will be Spurs who will keep all three points in the capital.

He told footie5: “The tough start for Newcastle continues and with Son back for Spurs I only see a comfortable win for Pochettino’s side.

“Tottenham 2-0 Newcastle.”
