Jermaine Jenas takes to Twitter to share his displeasure at Pochettino’s sacking

Jermaine Jenas has disagreed with the decision of Tottenham Hotspur to sack Mauricio Pochettino.

The Argentinian has been relieved of his duties after five-and-a-half years in charge of the North London club (Spurs official).

Spurs, who were in the Champions League final just six months ago, have experienced a tough start to the season and are currently fourteenth place in the Premier League table going into the international break.

Jenas, who played for Spurs during his career took to Twitter to claim that the club should have backed the manager rather than sack him.

Pochettino transformed Tottenham into Champions League regulars and gave fans one of their most memorable journeys in a generation when he guided the club to the final against Liverpool in Madrid.

He departs having guided Spurs to top-four finishes in four of his five seasons at the helm but has not escaped Daniel Levy’s decision to sack him.

Here’s what Jenas had to say on social media.
