Chelsea assistant manager Jesus Perez has dropped a cryptic message on social media ahead of his return to Tottenham Hotspur this evening.
Perez will be part of Mauricio Pochettino’s backroom staff that take their place on the opposition bench in North London in what is their first trip back to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium since being fired by Daniel Levy back in November 2019.
Pochettino and Perez enjoyed five full seasons at Spurs between 2014 and 2019 and decided to take up their new challenge at Tottenham’s fierce rivals earlier this summer.
Can Spurs beat Chelsea tonight?
Perez has got some fans from both Tottenham and Chelsea talking after he posted two pictures of his daughters on social media in the same pose but years apart. One in Tottenham shirts from a few years ago, and more recently Chelsea colours, together with the caption “#love is colour blind.”

It will be interesting to see exactly what reception Mauricio Pochettino and his team receive from the Tottenham fans this season with many believing that they should not have touched the Chelsea job due to their previous allegiances to their football club.
Some will argue that since Daniel Levy never picked up the phone with the Argentine to discuss a return following Antonio Conte‘s departure, he can hardly be blamed for accepting the post. One thing is for sure, the atmosphere will be extra special.
