Joachim Andersen claims Spurs man is best in his position in Premier League

Reported Tottenham target, Joachim Andersen, has claimed that Harry Kane is the best striker in the Premier League when talking to the FPL Show.

Andersen impressed this season while on loan at Fulham with his no-nonsense defending, quality on the ball and eye for a long pass, even though the Cottagers were eventually relegated from the Premier League.

Tottenham, meanwhile, have struggled in the centre of defence of late, with Eric Dier, Davinson Sanchez and Toby Alderweireld all enduring sub-par campaigns.

Journalist Jack Pitt Brooke claimed earlier this month that Andersen has picked Tottenham Hotspur as the club he wants to join in this summer’s transfer window.

Lyon are reportedly open to selling the Danish centre-back this summer and he has been mentioned as a £25m target for the North London club this year (Telegraph).

The central defender will now be looking ahead to the European Championships, where he will join forces with current Spurs star, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and former player, Christian Eriksen.

The FPL Show asked players who the best striker in the Premier League was and Matt Phillips from West Brom said: “Harry Kane, it’s just another season where he’s hit great numbers. Obviously, he leads Tottenham and he’s probably the best striker in the world.”

Andersen agreed with this statement, saying: “Yeah, for me, that’s Harry Kane.”
