Johan Lange has revealed the qualities Conor Gallagher possesses, which will ensure he does well at Tottenham Hotspur.
Tottenham Hotspur did not have the busiest of transfer windows, and initially, it seemed more attention was being paid to offloading players rather than making new signings.
However, a new arrival was eventually announced after Spurs agreed a deal to sign Conor Gallagher from Atletico Madrid.
The midfielder has already jumped straight into the first team, making three Premier League appearances and securing his first assist last Sunday against Manchester City.

Johan Lange raves about Conor Gallagher’s experience
Tottenham’s sporting director is delighted to have Gallagher on board, especially as he is a player the club have been watching for some time.
Lange is particularly excited by the experience the 25-year-old already has under his belt, which includes receiving 22 caps for the England national team.
He told Tottenham Hotspur: “Conor is a player that we have followed for a number of years. Obviously, he comes with a fantastic pedigree; his experience both with the Premier League, his period in La Liga have definitely also helped him to grow as a human being, as a player.
“Of course, he has played a number of times for England as well. So, he’s a player that, of course, can come in and help us on the first day – his energy, his quality in midfield, his work rate, the way he can drive a team forward is something that I’m sure will help us. We’ve already seen that from day one.”
According to Lange, Gallagher is just as impressive off the pitch as he is on it and he could become influential behind the scenes.
“Then, of course, as a character, he’s a fantastic human being,” Lange continued. “He’s a leader. He has been captain earlier in his career and he’s somebody that really will be an important voice in the dressing room this season and in many seasons to come.”
Conor Gallegher could join the Tottenham leadership team next season
Ben Davies is unlikely to remain at Spurs after the summer and there have been doubts surrounding Guglielmo Vicario’s future for a while.
This could open up some spaces in the five-man leadership group at Tottenham and with Gallagher possessing the qualities Lange has mentioned, he could be a potential candidate.
Two of the current members in this group have been injured all season, so more leaders are needed at Spurs. Gallagher could be the perfect fit and taking on such a responsibility will only help him as he looks to make North London his permanent home.
