Tottenham Hotspur only made two signings in January, but there are likely to be more arrivals after the conclusion of the current season.
Tottenham Hotspur have had a less-than-impressive January transfer window, with the club completing only two signings in total.
This has caused frustration not just among the supporters, but with certain members of the Tottenham first-team squad too.
Indeed, Cristian Romero branded the lack of available players at Spurs as ‘disgraceful’ via a social media post, which was liked by nine Tottenham players.

Johan Lange outlines Tottenham’s summer plans
According to Sporting Director Johan Lange, it was not possible for Spurs to sign more players in January. However, there should be plenty of new arrivals entering Hotspur Way in the summer.
He told Tottenham Hotspur: “The summer market is where eight or nine out of 10 players, they move clubs, so we will go into the summer window with big ambitions of strengthening the team.
“We know there’ll be more movements, we know there’ll be more opportunities, so the plans are already, can you see, drawn up.
“We have a clear picture of which position and also which profiles. Could we have brought one or two more in this January window? We would have been delighted to do so, but that was not a possibility.”
Although it appears the summer transfer window will bring about some excitement, Lange has been clear that the club are also focused on making a success of the current season.
“So, we are looking forward to the summer, now we focus on the rest of the season and that is very, very important as well because we have big objectives,” he continued.
“We’re still in the Champions League. We want to, of course, be higher in the Premier League and then myself and others will have our eyes already now directed towards the summer transfer window.”
Spurs may regret not signing more players in January
Thomas Frank needs all the resources he can get, and news of potential summer signings will be music to the Dane’s ears. However, he has to make it to the summer first. That means getting improved results in the Premier League.

With all the injuries Tottenham have, this is not a straightforward task and it could leave Lange wondering if he and the Spurs hierarchy should have planned for the mid-season window more effectively.
