A former Belgium international has told a rumoured Tottenham target to snub a move to England and lead elsewhere.
After seeing the kind of success that the likes of Lucas Bergvall, Archie Gray and Pape Sarr have had at Tottenham, the Lilywhites are reportedly looking to bring another talented teenager midfielder on board.
It has been reported over recent weeks that Spurs have set their sights on Anderlecht starlet Nathan De Cat, who is turning a lot of heads with his performances in Belgian football.
It has been claimed by some sources that Brighton and Aston Villa are ready to challenge Spurs for De Cat, but the 17-year-old midfielder has now been asked to move elsewhere.

Tottenham target Nathan de Cat told not to move to the Premier League
Former Belgian international Marc Degryse has now told the Anderlecht youngster that he would be better off moving to a Bundesliga club at this stage of his career.
He urged De Cat to use a club in Germany as a stepping stone before making a move to a big Premier League side.
Marc Degryse told Voetbal Primeur (via Sport Witness): “If I were De Cat, I’d go to Germany first before moving to the Premier League. You shouldn’t immediately want to go to Manchester City.
“First, go to a major league, be a real pillar there for a few seasons. If you then want to take the step to the real top at 22 or 23, you’ll be much better protected.”
Johan Lange is driving Spurs’ interest in De Cat
It was revealed by CaughtOffside a couple of days ago that Johan Lange is the driving force behind the Lilywhites’ pursuit of the 17-year-old.
It was asserted that Tottenham’s sporting director is ‘pushing hard’ to land De Cat ahead of other suitors in January.
However, the outlet claimed that Villa are just as keen on signing the youngster, who is valued by Anderlecht at €35m (£30m).
