John Terry sends message to Chelsea star amidst reports Spurs are interested

John Terry has sent a message to Kurt Zouma on social media asking the centre-back to snub a move to Tottenham this summer.

Spurs have already completed the signing of Cristian Romero but reports indicate the North Londoners are prioritising snapping up another central defender before the transfer window shuts.

Fiorentina’s Nikola Milenkovic and Bologna’s Takehiro Tomiyasu, two players who can play at centre-back and right-back, are among the names thought to be on Tottenham’s radar.

Sky Sports reported on Tuesday that Zouma is also on the Lilywhites’ shortlist, with Chelsea alleged to be willing to sell the Frenchman for £25m.

The report claimed the 26-year-old, who is also wanted by West Ham United, would prefer to join a London club if he is to leave Stamford Bridge this summer

Terry has now responded to Sky Sports’ post on Instagram about Spurs’ interest in Zouma, with the comment: “Don’t do it Kurt” with eye and heart emojis.

Spurs Web Opinion

I certainly do not want Zouma at Spurs, not due to his Chelsea link but because I do not rate him too highly. While he is very aggressive and dominant, he does have the tendency to lose concentration and make poor choices. I would rather see us hold on to Davinson Sanchez than sign the Frenchman.
