Jose Mourinho appears to aim Gareth Bale dig at Real Madrid

Jose Mourinho has seemingly aimed a sly dig at Real Madrid by suggesting that Gareth Bale is not used to the level of organisation that he is experiencing at Tottenham.

The North Londoners will take on Royal Antwerp this evening and the Spurs boss did confirm in his press conference yesterday that Bale will start the game.

It will be the Welshman’s second start since his return to the club after he featured for around an hour in Tottenham’s 3-0 win over LASK last Thursday.

Bale did show signs in that match that he was getting his sharpness back as he looked to take people on and make things happen when he got on the ball.

Mourinho confirmed that the 31-year-old is slowly getting back his full fitness and is at a much better place than he was a couple of weeks ago.

When speaking about Bale’s fitness, the Portuguese coach hinted that the wide man did not get the same level of expert input during his time at the Spanish capital.

Mourinho told Football.London: “He [Bale] is working very hard. I think he is very pleased with the level of organisation we have in the club.

“Probably, he is not used to it. But the way we work between coaching staff, medical staff, sports science area, we are providing all the best conditions for his evolution.”
