Tottenham Hotspur manager, Jose Mourinho, has only been in charge for just over a week in North London, overseeing two games for the Lilywhites.
However, he has come away with two wins, six points, Spurs’ first away win since January 2019, and a qualification for the Champions League knockout rounds. Not a bad start.
Despite this, Jose has used Tottenham’s newest recruits very sparingly over the first two matches, with Tanguy Ndombele only featuring as a late substitute against Olympiacos.
Giovani Lo Celso and Ryan Sessegnon have not yet been used by the Special One, although he had plenty to say about the latter today in his press conference.
When asked where he sees Sessegnon playing, Mourinho claimed that the teenager will be an attacking player for now, but he can see him eventually moving to full-back.
He even compared Sessegnon to a young Ashley Cole, one of the best left-backs the Premier League has ever seen. Very high praise indeed.
Mourinho says Ryan Sessegnon is not ready to play left-back yet, but sees him more of an attacking player. He compared him to a young Ashley Cole. #THFC #COYS

I asked Jose Mourinho about where he sees Ryan Sessegnon playing. He believes that right now he is an attacking player but he believes he has similar qualities to Ashley Cole and could become a great left-back in the future as he develops.
