Jose Mourinho comments as three star players are now banned for Norwich game

Tottenham Hotspur went into the game today knowing that they would be without Heung Min Son for the Norwich clash in 48 hours time.

However, the Lilywhites walk away from the 2-1 win over Brighton now knowing that Harry Winks and Moussa Sissoko will also miss the Norwich game.

Both players went into today’s game knowing that one more yellow card would see them banned for one match, with both picking up a booking in proceedings.

This leaves Jose Mourinho rather short on central midfielders, as Tanguy Ndombele also wasn’t even named on the bench today for Spurs.

Heung Min Son, of course, is banned for two more matches after receiving a straight red card for violent conduct against Antonio Rudiger of Chelsea.

Mourinho claims that two of the three bans are unfair, stating that Sonny and Winks should feel hard done by, while the Sissoko one was understandable.

Spurs play Norwich away from home on the 28th of December.

Mourinho said (Football London): “But that is the way it is, even with three guys suspended. I think from the three two of them are unfair, Sonny unfair, Winks unfair, I can only say Sissoko had a reason for the fifth yellow card. We have to go.”
