Jose Mourinho comments on Harry Kane’s recovery from hamstring injury

Tottenham Hotspur have now been without their lead man Harry Kane for almost one month exactly, after the striker sustained a nasty injury on New Years Day.

Kane overstretched to tap a ball home against Southampton at St Mary’s, rupturing the tendon in his left hamstring in the process.

Harry was immediately taken off and the goal was ruled out for offside, with the striker later needing surgery to correct the problem.

Spurs initially outlined early April as a possible return date for Harry Kane in terms of his training, with the striker posting an update to social media this week.

A video on Kane’s Twitter account showed him already stretching out the left hamstring with the help of a resistance band after one month on the sidelines.

Jose Mourinho has also commented on the striker’s progress today, stating that Kane’s recovery is going well but there is no new update on a return date.

He added that Kane will also spend some time away from the club during his injury spell.
