Tottenham Hotspur certainly have a talent on their hands in Tanguy Ndombele, their record signing from Lyon who joined the club back in the summer.
Ndombele impressed last season with his tireless midfield performances in the Champions League against the likes of Manchester City.
However, it has been far from the ideal start to his North London life for Tanguy, as his first season has been plagued with injury already and we are only in January.
Ndombele has suffered three different injury spells already in a Spurs shirt, with the latest coming in the first half against Southampton.
The Frenchman had a superb match in the game before against Norwich City, but all progress in his development has been halted once more.
Jose Mourinho has claimed that the talent is there for Ndombele, but he needs consistency and minutes, as injury has prevented any continuity in his development this season.
Charlie Eccleshare reports Mourinho said:
The talent is there but he needs consistency, he needs minutes.
