Jose Mourinho disagrees with Danny Rose’s comments in the press

Tottenham Hotspur fans waved goodbye to Danny Rose in the January transfer window, at least for the time being, as he joined Newcastle United on a six-month loan.

Rose has just 18-months left on his contract in North London and is currently the longest-serving senior player, having been at the club for an amazing 12 years.

However, since Jose Mourinho joined the club in late November, Rose’s game time was restricted, with the left-back being dropped altogether at the turn of the new year.

There were even reports of a bust-up between Rose and Mourinho after the defender disagreed with being left out of the squad (Daily Mail).

After joining Newcastle, Rose then said in an interview that he felt as if he had not been given chances by Mourinho at Spurs (Independent).

However, the Special One disagrees with this comment, stating that the left-back played big games against Olympiakos, Bayern Munich, and Liverpool, labelling them as great chances.

Mourinho said (Charlie Eccleshare):
