Tottenham Hotspur have now been without Harry Kane since the first day of the new year, when the striker managed to rupture the tendon in his left hamstring.
This nasty injury left Kane needing surgery and the striker has not been seen since. However, it was revealed today that he has now moved from the gym to commence on-field rehabilitation.
To make matters worse for Tottenham’s selection issues, Heung-min Son then fractured his arm against Aston Villa earlier this month.
The South Korean also needed surgery on the injury, despite playing on and scoring a brace on the day.
However, Jose Mourinho has now given a very positive update on both players in his press conference today.
The Special One claims that Kane is ahead of schedule in his recovery and that Son could play in a cast, rather than waiting for the arm to completely heal.
The added that both could be playing together again this season.
Charlie Eccleshare reports:
Mourinho confirms that Kane’s ahead of schedule in his recovery and that “another hope” is that Son could play with a cast.
He adds: “It’s a good possibility that we have Kane and Sonny playing together [before the end of the season].”
So good news on the injury front.
