Tottenham Hotspur ran away as 3-1 winners against Newcastle United this evening as they recorded back-to-back Premier League victories in the race for the Europa League.
However, the Lilywhites were forced to do so without their record signing Tanguy Ndombele, although the Frenchman has found minutes few and far between of late.
Jose Mourinho has named Ndombele on the bench for every match for which he has been fit since the Premier League restart.
Ndombele had been named on the bench for six straight games since the restart, appearing in just two for a total of 64 minutes (TransferMarkt).
However, Ndombele missed the Newcastle win with an injury and Mourinho has now reportedly revealed that the midfield man will miss the rest of the season with the problem.
The Athletic journalist, Charlie Eccleshare, reported:
Mourinho says Ndombele’s injury will keep him out for the rest of the season. #THFC
