Jose Mourinho reacts to Spurs fans no longer being allowed to attend home matches

Jose Mourinho has admitted that he is confused by the latest Government updates to the tier system, both on a football level and a social level.

Spurs had momentarily been allowed to welcome fans back into the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium thanks to the new tier rules.

London had initially been placed into Tier Two, meaning that 2,000 fans were allowed to attend live football matches, compared to 4,000 in Tier One and zero in Tier Three.

However, London has now been upgraded to a Tier Three location, meaning that the appearances of home fans in North London is banned once again.

Unfortunately for Spurs, the club only had one home game during the period in which supporters were allowed, their 2-0 win over Arsenal in the North London Derby.

During the busy festive period, having consistent support from fans at home would have been a boost for the Lilywhites, especially as they may still face supporters during away trips to other clubs in the league.

Mourinho reacted to the news by stating (Football London): “I’m so confused with all of that, not only at a football level but also a social level. I’m so confused with contradictions.”
