Jose Mourinho responds to rumours of a bust up with Danny Rose

Tottenham Hotspur head coach, Jose Mourinho, left Danny Rose out of the squad for the trip to Watford at the weekend, making it two matches in a row that the player had been dropped.

It has since been reported that the two men had a heated exchange at Hotspur Way this week, with Rose angry at being dropped for the last game (Daily Mail).

It is said that Rose was looking for Mourinho to explain why he had been left out against Watford, with Mourinho claiming that a small back injury had influenced his decision.

Rose believed he was fit to take part in the match and argued that point to Mourinho during the warm-down session in training on Sunday. It was reported that there was then tension and raised voices as the two clashed.

However, when asked about the altercation today, Mourinho dismissed it and claimed that there was no tension and he had no problem with Rose.
