Jose Mourinho reveals update on Lo Celso injury concern ahead of Man United clash

Tottenham Hotspur take on Manchester United in their return to Premier League action tomorrow night.

While Jose Mourinho has seen the likes of Harry Kane, Heung-min Son, Moussa Sissoko, and Steven Bergwijn return from injuries, players who may not have featured again this season if not for the coronavirus suspension, he is not without his injury doubts.

Journalist Jonathan Veal reports that Mourinho revealed in his pre-match press conference on Zoom today that Lo Celso remains a doubt for the match.

Charlie Eccleshare adds that Lo Celso had the injury before lockdown, but regulations meant that he did not get the required treatment.

The Argentine was not seen during either the internal 11 v 11 friendly earlier this month or the friendly match against Norwich City.

Mourinho claims that he will be assessed tomorrow morning ahead of the 20:15 pm kick-off at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

This news comes as a blow to Spurs who are already without Dele Alli through suspension, meaning that the Lilywhites may miss their two most potent creative sparks.

Spurs Web Opinion:

Let’s hope that Lo Celso is tested in the morning and is able to make the bench at least. If he can’t start against United, we at least want him fit for the next game if possible.
