Jose Mourinho has provided an update on Serge Aurier to journalists who have dialled into Tottenham Hotspur’s pre-Chelsea press conference from Hotspur Way this afternoon.
Such is the protocol, the media are informed of the availability of the Spurs squad ahead of Mourinho answering questions prior to the visit of Thomas Tuchel’s side to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium tomorrow night.
Pre-match press conferences continue to take place on the Zoom video conferencing after the coronavirus pandemic and lockdown restrictions meaning that journalists can no longer attend Hotspur Way in person.
Tottenham are looking to put back to back defeats against Liverpool and Brighton behind them with a victory against their London rivals.
Chelsea are currently level on points with Spurs in the table and have the opportunity to move above them albeit with Mourinho having a game in hand over his former employer.
Aurier was left out of the squad which lost at Brighton on Sunday but has confirmed that the Ivorian will be in his plans for the match against Chelsea.
