Jose Mourinho reveals whether Sergio Reguilon will feature in Europa League match

Jose Mourinho has now confirmed that Sergio Reguilon will not travel with the squad to play against Shkendija on Thursday in the Europa League.

Reguilon signed for Spurs at the weekend along with fellow Real Madrid man, Gareth Bale, but is not yet ready to make his debut in a Lilywhite shirt.

The Spanish left-back has begun training at Hotspur Way but is not yet working with the first-team but in solo sessions (via Harry Winks).

Reguilon impressed last season out on loan to Sevilla where he managed to win the Europa League and stand out as one of the best left-backs in La Liga.

Tottenham’s new recruit will be hoping to get his first minutes under his belt in the near future, but it looks as though he will have to wait until the weekend at the earliest.

Jose Mourinho revealed that Reguilon is not on the UEFA list because the club knew he was not ready to play against Shkendija this week.

He said (Football London): “Sergio no. He’s not even in the UEFA list because we knew he couldn’t be ready to play this match, so we kept this list from the previous round so Sergio not yet.”
