Jose Mourinho takes funny dig at Mesut Ozil after his recent Tottenham comments

Jose Mourinho has taken a funny dig towards Mesut Ozil in his pre-match press conference this afternoon, hinting that Tottenham would never want to sign the Arsenal man.

This came after Ozil himself held a question and answer session on Twitter this week, with one fan asking whether he would join Spurs next if it was his only contract offer.

The Arsenal midfielder, who has been frozen out in North London this season, claimed that he would rather retire than play for the Lilywhites.

When this was posed to Mourinho by the press today, the Tottenham head coach replied (Alasdair Gold): “Who told him that Tottenham would be interested in signing him?”

The Special One managed Ozil during his days at Real Madrid and even included him in his career XI (TalkSport).

Ozil has also revealed in the past that Mourinho once called him a ‘coward’ for his antics at Real Madrid, although he added that he still loved the coach.
