Jose Mourinho’s fresh comments on Kane injury after 1-1 FA Cup draw

Harry Kane missed out on the FA Cup clash against Middlesbrough today, as Spurs could only manage a 1-1 result and the subsequent replay that comes with it.

The Lilywhites lacked that focal point in attack without their main striker, or any senior striker for that matter. Mourinho deployed a front two of Son and Lucas to cover.

This came after Kane was injured in the Premier League loss against Southampton last week, as he stretched for a ball in the 75th minute.

Kane was able to turn the ball home for an equaliser against the Saints, but tore his hamstring in doing so and was immediately sent down the tunnel for treatment.

Jose Mourinho will now have to deal without his main man and stand-in captain as Spurs enter the new year, although he admitted after today’s game that he did not know how long Harry would be out for.
