Journalist asks Ben Davies who is the better golfer out of Harry Kane and Gareth Bale

Ben Davies has admitted that Gareth Bale lost the battle for the TV remote against his Wales teammates and was forced to watch the Masters on his iPad instead this week.

Bale’s fondness for golf is well documented and the international break this month fell on the same week as the infamous Masters major at Augusta.

It turns out that the Welshman, who was rested for the friendly on Thursday, wanted to watch the golf on the big screen in Wales’ team hotel in Cardiff on Friday.

However, his plea fell on deaf ears, with his teammates instead deciding to tune into the nation’s rugby union defeat to Ireland.

Davies told The Sun: “Gareth had his iPad out watching the golf and the rugby was on the TV. The boys pulled rank there.”

Another Tottenham player who is also known to be rather passionate about golf is Harry Kane. The Tottenham striker also admitted on social media on Friday that he would be keeping a close eye on the Masters.

When asked about Kane’s golf interest, Davies said: “Those two are some of the biggest golf fans I’ve seen. Those two love it.”

The left-back was then asked who is the better golfer out of the two to which he responded: “I’ve played with both of them but I can’t say I’m the best judge as to who is better because I’m not the best.”
