Harry Kane refused to reveal whether Antonio Conte has asked him to stay at Tottenham beyond the summer when asked in an England interview today.
The Spurs striker claimed Conte is a ‘fantastic coach’ and is ‘pushing me to my limits’, but he would not reveal any details behind any personal discussions.
Currently enjoying another stellar campaign, Kane has already been linked with the likes of Manchester City (The Sun), Manchester United (Mirror), and Newcastle United (GiveMeSport) before the summer transfer window even opens.
90 Min report that Kane is already pushing for a North London exit this summer, as he believes Tottenham are not keeping up with his ambitions.
However, according to Fabrizio Romano, Kane’s Tottenham future may depend on Antonio Conte’s future in N17 (Here We Go podcast – starting at 16:34).
Asked whether Conte has asked him to stay, Kane said (Dan Kilpatrick): “I’m not going to get into personal discussions.”
Spurs Web Opinion:
If you read between the lines here, it sounds very much like Conte and Kane have had some kind of chat about what the future holds, whether that be transfer-related or Conte just explaining his vision. Only time will tell on this.
