Journalist asks Hugo Lloris whether his future lies at Tottenham

Hugo Lloris was asked whether his future lies at Tottenham this week as he prepares to enter the European Championships as captain of France.

The Spurs shot-stopper chose to avoid the question, merely stating that he will answer questions on his future once the Euros are complete.

Lloris has just one year left on his current contract at Tottenham, meaning that Spurs will have to sell up this summer if they hope to gain any significant fee.

When asked if his future lies at Tottenham, Lloris said (Nice-Matin): “I will answer these questions once the Euro is over.”

The 34-year-old Frenchman has been linked with a move away this summer after Tottenham’s disastrous season in North London this year.

Multiple reports have claimed that Lloris could return to France before the start of next season, with both Nice and PSG mentioned as possible destinations.

Fabrizio Romano reported earlier this year that a decision would not be made by Tottenham until after the campaign finished.

However, Football Insider have reported that positive talks have been held between Lloris and Daniel Levy, with a contract extension even being a possibility.
