Jose Mourinho failed to answer a question over whether Dele Alli would remain a Tottenham player after the January transfer window in his press conference today (Jonathan Veal).
Jonathan Veal asked the Spurs head coach why Alli missed the Sheffield United match and whether he would still be at the club next month.
The reporter revealed that Mourinho claimed Dele missed the game through injury, but decided to skip answering the second part to the question.
The Spurs midfield has found consistent game time hard to come by so far this season and recent reports have linked Dele with a potential transfer to PSG.
The Sun claimed that Dele is confident that he will be able to secure such a move before the transfer window slams shut this winter.
However, other reports from France have indicated that a del is far more complicated than it may seem, with Spurs still keen to hang onto the midfield man.
Le Parisien report that Spurs want any outgoing loan deal to involved a compulsory £45m purchase, however, PSG are apparently unable to afford such a fee.
Mourinho said Dele did not play at Sheffield United because of his injury. Did not answer my question on whether he thinks he will be at #THFC next month.
