Journalist backs Spurs-linked midfielder to earn Premier League transfer soon

Rumoured Tottenham Hotspur target Alex Scott has been backed to make a move to a Premier League side in the near future, according to CBS Sports journalist Ben Jacobs on Twitter.

The Bristol City midfielder has been linked with a move to Tottenham for some time with London World claiming back in February that the north Londoners had already sent senior scouts to cast their eye over the teenager, who has been dubbed the ‘Guernsey Grealish’ due to his style on the ball.

Former Leicester player Andy King, who now lines up alongside Scott at Ashton Gate has claimed that the 19-year-old is already at a more developed stage than what Ben Chilwell and Harvey Barnes were when coming through the Foxes academy system (Bristol City / YouTube).

Scott has been a regular in the Robins’ side this season, having made 25 appearances across all competitions and providing four assists (transfermarkt).

Jacobs was asked on social media about which transfer may happen that nobody would expect and named the talented youngster as someone who could be on the move very soon.

Tottenham’s scouting network, especially since being revamped under Fabio Paratici should always have their eye on top young English talent and Scott fits into this category.

The club already have a number of promising youngsters within its ranks and need to ensure that their development continues with the likes of Devine and White needing to head out on loan during the January window.
