Journalist believes that 23-year-old would be ‘a huge hit’ if he joined Spurs

Paul Brown is fully in favour of Tottenham Hotspur signing Jadon Sancho, with the journalist suggesting that the Manchester United star would be a big hit at the North London club.

Sancho remains frozen out of the first-team picture at Man Utd after refusing to apologise to Erik Ten Hag following their public falling out (Goal.com).

Last week, Fichajes.net claimed that the England international has ‘aroused great interest’ from Spurs ahead of January.

The report alleged that Ange Postecoglou sees the attacker as the ideal reinforcement, given the injuries to Ivan Perisic and Manor Solomon, and that the Australian believes that the 23-year-old would help the club sustain their bid for the Premier League title.

The outlet asserted that the Red Devils would be willing to sell Sancho for €35m (£30.5m), which is a figure that Tottenham are ‘seriously considering’ paying.

Would Jadon Sancho thrive at Tottenham?

Brown believes that the Lilywhites should not think twice about signing the winger, backing the player to thrive under Postecoglou.

The journalist told GiveMeSport: “We don’t really know what has gone on behind the scenes between Sancho and Erik ten Hag. It’s not like he has a big history of these kinds of fallouts with managers.

“His time in Germany went pretty swimmingly. He was a huge success over there. I think it would be a mistake to read too much into his situation this season because there is probably more than one side to that story.

“I do think that he probably needs to get out of Manchester United and, personally, I think he’d be a huge hit at Spurs. The only thing is they are not short of forward players and there is already quite a lot of competition in those areas.”

Spurs Web Opinion

We know that a potential transfer target’s personality and attitude are just as big a consideration for Postecoglou as the player’s ability.

So, it remains to be seen if the Australian would be convinced about signing Sancho after having a conversation with the 23-year-old as his behaviour at Man Utd points to a potential attitude problem.
