Journalist claims 21-year-old is one of Paratici’s favourite non-Spurs players in PL

Sky Sports’ Lyall Thomas has claimed that Tottenham continue to have an eye on Anthony Gordon, with the journalist revealing that Fabio Paratici is a big admirer of the Everton star.

Over the last few months, multiple publications have reported on the possibility of Spurs reigniting their interest in Gordon after failing to get a deal for the 21-year-old over the line during the summer transfer window (Football.London).

The Daily Express reported back in November that Tottenham are battling Chelsea for the Toffees star and added that Antonio Conte sees the England Under-21 international as an option for the right wing-back role.

However, in what came as a blow to Spurs’ pursuit of Gordon, The Daily Mail claimed a couple of weeks ago that the youngster is set to put pen on paper to a new contract at Goodison Park.

The winger has not signed on the dotted line as of yet and Thomas has now told The Last Word On Spurs YouTube Channel that he is a player the North London club still ‘really like’.

The journalist added that Paratici particularly ‘loves’ Gordon, with the Everton star said to be one of the Spurs managing director’s ‘favourite players in the Premier League’.

However, Thomas explains that the only roadblock for Tottenham is the fact that Frank Lampard’s men have not dropped their valuation of the player.

Gordon would essentially solve two issues for Spurs as not only can he potentially be converted into a right wing-back but he can also be used as a cover for Dejan Kulusevski on the right.

However, he is contracted to Everton until 2025. So, the Toffees are not going to demand a sizable fee for the winger even if he does not sign a new deal over the coming weeks.
