Journalist claims AC Milan in talks to sign rumoured Spurs target

According to Italian journalist Gianluca di Marzio (as relayed by GFFN), AC Milan are in active talks with Lille over the possible transfer of rumoured Tottenham target Mike Maignan.

There has been a lot of speculation over Hugo Lloris’ future in the last few months, with rumours suggesting that the Tottenham captain, who is set to enter the final 12 months of his contract, could be on his way back to Ligue 1 this summer.

Maignan is rumoured to be one of the names on Tottenham’s radar as Lloris’ potential successor.

It was reported back in March that two members of Jose Mourinho’s coaching staff in Nuno Santos and Joao Sacramento were pushing for the North Londoners to sign the goalkeeper after having worked with him during their time at Lille.

It remains to be seen whether the 25-year-old would still be on the club’s radar now that the Spurs have parted ways with Mourinho and his team.

Di Marzio has now claimed that Maignan could be on his way to the San Siro, with Milan in negotiations with Lille for the goalkeeper.

He asserts that the two clubs, who have a good relationship due to the business they have done in the past, could agree on a fee of around €12m (£10.4m) for Maignan.
