Portuguese journalist and transfer expert, Pedro Almeida has claimed that Antonio Conte is now the new head coach of Tottenham Hotspur.
With Nuno Espirito Santo and his coaching staff being sacked this morning, there has been plenty of speculation linking Spurs with a move for Conte over the last few hours.
Gianluca Di Marzio has said that the Italian is expected to fly to London today to hammer out the final agreements with Tottenham.
Fabrizio Romano has claimed that the former Chelsea boss ‘is ready to accept’ Tottenham’s proposal, with talks now thought to be in the ‘final stages’.
The Telegraph’s Matt Law has also said that there is ‘genuine optimism’ at Spurs that they can reach an agreement with the 52-year-old.
Almeida has now become the first journalist to suggest that Conte to Spurs is now a ‘done deal’.
He claimed that the North London club reached an agreement with the Italian this morning.

Almeida is not exactly a top-tier source but with so many other reliable outlets suggesting that a deal is close, Spurs fans can be optimistic.
I also doubt Tottenham would have officially announced Nuno’s sacking unless they were confident of having secured his replacement.
