Journalist claims club have contacted Spurs star over summer move

Barcelona are the latest side to be linked with a move for Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane in the summer transfer window, with journalist Ian McGarry revealing that the Spanish giants have been in contact with the Tottenham star.

There has been plenty of speculation over Kane’s future over the last couple of weeks but the 27-year-old has admitted that he will only make a decision on his future after the Euros.

The Daily Mail revealed a few days ago that the Tottenham star was attracting interest from the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid and Juventus.

However, the report suggested that Daniel Levy will refuse any advances from a domestic rival while Tottenham’s £150m valuation of the striker is likely to put off Madrid, PSG and Juve.

McGarry has now said that Kane is seriously considering leaving Spurs and Barcelona are the most attractive option for the England captain.

The journalist said on the Transfer Window Podcast (as relayed by The Express): “It is our information that Kane is seriously considering moving away from Tottenham Hotspur and as a result, other clubs have been in touch with his representatives.

“We understand that the one that is most attractive at this moment in time is Barcelona.

“Barcelona are a team who are behind in La Liga and who are experiencing by their standards a bit of a poor season.”
