Journalist claims Conte and Paratici both view striker as ‘ideal’ signing for Spurs

According to journalist Niccolo Ceccarini, Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici both view Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic as an ideal signing for Tottenham.

Vlahovic, 21, is said to be on the verge of leaving I Viola, having rejected multiple offers for a new contract from the Serie A side.

The Serbia international, who has scored 13 goals in 15 appearances this season, is now being chased by a host of clubs across Europe with Fiorentina likely to demand upwards of £70 million for his signature.

Tottenham have remained in pursuit of Vlahovic since the summer, but there has been no further movement in terms of a deal according to Ceccarini’s column for TuttoMercatoWeb.

As per the article, Italian pair Conte and Paratici have identified Vlahovic as a prime target for Spurs and view the striker as a potential heir to Harry Kane should a transfer opportunity to Manchester City arise in the future.

It states that Spurs are not alone in their interest in the Serbian with Juventus also plotting their move, however, a deal for the striker is ‘very unlikely’ to be completed in mid-season.

Spurs Web Opinion

We all know a move for Vlahovic will be extremely tricky to complete, given the interest in him and how much he will cost, but Spurs are quite clearly in the running. It would be a huge coup for the club with how well he has been doing over the last year.
