Journalist claims Harry Kane has not travelled with Spurs to Portugal

Journalist Charlie Eccleshare has reported that, as he understands, Harry Kane has not travelled with the Tottenham squad to Portugal today.

Spurs are set to play Paços de Ferreira in the first leg of their Conference League qualifier on Thursday evening, but Kane will not be a part of proceedings.

It was previously reported that Kane would travel with the squad and be involved in the match, whether that be from the start or off the bench.

However, it appears that the wantaway striker will now remain in North London to continue on his training and the hope is that he will be fit for Sunday.

Tottenham play Wolves in their first away match of the Premier League season, a week after beating Man City in their season opener. Kane was not a part of the matchday squad for the win over Pep Guardiola’s men.

Spurs Web Opinion:

This feels more like he has been left behind due to transfer reasons. Perhaps something is brewing behind the scenes. If Spurs no longer wanted to sell, I think he would be on that plane to send a message, or at least to get him away from the headlines.
