Journalist claims Harry Kane’s camp are relaxed – Not discussing options for next year

Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenburg has revealed that Harry Kane is no longer a target for Bayern Munich this summer and the striker’s entourage are relaxed about what the future holds.

German publication Kicker reported a few days ago that Bayern Munich are eyeing Kane as Robert Lewandowski’s successor at the Allianz Arena.

Unsurprisingly, this report was quickly shut down by others, including SportBILD journalist Christian Falk, who insisted on Sunday that the England captain is ‘not a topic’ for Bayern this summer.

Fabrizio Romano subsequently revealed on his YouTube channel on Monday that, although the Bayern hierarchy are huge fans of Kane, a transfer is not on the cards this summer.

Romano added that the 28-year-old is loving life under Antonio Conte and that Tottenham will not allow him to leave under any circumstances.

Plettenburg has now taken to social media to state that Bayern did have a conversation about Kane earlier this summer but the striker is no longer considered a target for the current window.

The journalist suggested that the Bundesliga giants could target the striker next summer but explained that the Spurs star’s entourage are relaxed about what the future holds.

Spurs Web Opinion

Tottenham will do their best over the coming months to tie Harry Kane down to a new contract as they would not want to risk allowing the striker to run down his deal any further.

I believe that the 28-year-old can be convinced to put pen on paper to a new deal if we make a strong start to the season, and show signs of competing at the top end of the table.
