TalkSPORT reporter, Alex Crook has now claimed that sources have informed that both Matt Doherty and Eric Dier may be surplus to requirements this summer.
While Eric Dier endured a difficult season last time out, he still recorded 39 appearances across all competitions and was a big part of Spurs’ positive early-season form.
Doherty, on the other hand, found it difficult to earn consistent minutes under Jose Mourinho, having to make do with Europa League fixtures, cup games, and sporadic Premier League outings.
However difficult the Irishman may have found it to transition into his new club and new role, many would have assumed that the arrival of Nuno Espirito Santo would be a positive one for Doherty.
The two worked together, with immense success, at Wolves for four years both in the Championship and Premier League.
However, Crook has now claimed that both Dier and Doherty may be surplus for requirements this summer.

Spurs Web Opinion:
In my opinion, Doherty is only worth keeping if we are going to play wing-backs. Dier is still a talented squad defender, so it comes down to whether he is insistent on first-team football and whether anyone comes in with an offer for him.
