Journalist claims Ivan Perisic will arrive in London tomorrow for Spurs medical

TuttoMercatoWeb journalist, Giacomo Iacobellis has claimed that Ivan Perisic will have his medical in London tomorrow before joining Tottenham Hotspur.

This comes after Fabrizio Romano reported that the Croatian international was due to travel to London next week with his agents to complete the free transfer.

Sky Italia revealed earlier this week that Inter had sent Perisic an improved contract offer but were not prepared to increase it any further.

The 33-year-old is out of contract this summer and has previously worked under Spurs boss Antonio Conte at Inter Milan, where they won the 2020/21 Serie A title.

In recent years, Perisic has been recast in a left-wing-back role, which is perfect for the system Conte has been playing at Tottenham since taking over in November. Spurs currently have Sergio Reguilon and Ryan Sessegnon as options in that position.

Perisic featured made 35 appearances in Serie A for Inter last season, despite his age, scoring eight goals and recording another seven assists (transfermarkt).

Spurs Web Opinion:

Getting Forster and Perisic over the line at the start of this week would be sensational for Tottenham as it would get the transfer window off to the perfect start. Spurs rarely move early in the market, so this should make a nice change.
