Journalist claims Leicester City believe 24-year-old is on his way to Spurs

Duncan Castles has revealed in the latest episode of The Transfer Window Podcast that Leicester City believe Demarai Gray is on his way to Tottenham Hotspur.

Gray was linked with a move to Spurs in the previous transfer window, with reports indicating that the Foxes were demanding £20m for his signature.

However, the winger ended up staying put at the King Power Stadium and has subsequently failed to make a single league appearance for Brendan Rodgers’ side this season (transfermarkt).

Castles claims Gray believes his lack of game time at Leicester is due to him refusing to sign a new deal at the club, with his current contract running out next summer.

The former England Under-21 international will be free to talk to other clubs in January but it is claimed that he is more likely to move on from the Foxes next summer as a free agent.

While those at Leicester reportedly believe that the pacy winger is Tottenham bound, Castles suggested there is plenty of interest in Gray both from the Premier League and abroad.

Here’s what the journalist said about the winger’s situation and his potential move to Spurs (Starting at 21.53):
