Journalist claims Ndombele ‘is not unhappy’ at Spurs amid transfer talk

Sky Sports journalist Dharmesh Sheth has revealed that Tanguy Ndombele is not unhappy at Tottenham despite the speculation linking the midfielder with a move away from the club.

Ndombele was handed a rare start by Antonio Conte in Tottenham’s FA Cup third-round clash against Morecambe on Sunday but the midfielder struggled to have much of an impact on the game.

The 25-year-old has received plenty of criticism for the way he trudged off the pitch when he was substituted in the second half.

Some pundits have suggested that the Frenchman will not play for Conte again following his antics in Tottenham’s 3-1 win on Sunday.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Spurs wish to move the former Lyon man on this month and are willing to consider a loan deal.

Seth has now confirmed that Tottenham do indeed want to find a buyer for Ndombele but suggested that the midfielder is not desperate to leave the Lilywhites.

He told The Transfer Show on Sky Sports (10/01/22 at 5:05 pm): “I think if Tottenham had their way, they would like to see Tanguy Ndombele move to another club.

“Talks between Spanish and Italian clubs could be on the cards here.

“As far as Ndombele is concerned, he is not unhappy at Tottenham. But he would consider a move if a suitable one came about.”

Spurs Web Opinion

Finding a club who are willing to pay £35m-£40m for Ndombele and match his salary will be next to impossible in January. I believe we will likely see the midfielder being loaned out to a Spanish or an Italian club until the end of the season.
