Journalist claims PL club could make move for Spurs defender this summer

The Daily Mail journalist Tom Collomosse has claimed that Nottingham Forest could make a move for Joe Rodon this summer.

Joe Rodon has not been able to get a run of starts under his belt since joining Tottenham two years ago and had to be content with sparse opportunities in general last season.

In fact, the centre-back did not start a single Premier League game after Antonio Conte took over from Nuno Espirito Santo in the November of last year.

The 24-year-old has continued to impress in the heart of Wales’ backline, helping the Dragons to qualify for the World Cup in Qatar at Ukraine’s expense.

Unsurprisingly, reports have indicated that Rodon wishes to leave Tottenham this summer in search of regular game time (Evening Standard).

Football.London’s Alasdair Gold revealed earlier this month that interest in the former Swansea man was growing. Wolves, Nottingham Forest and Fulham are thought to have their eye on the Spurs defender this summer (Ekren Konur).

Collomosse has now taken to social media to reveal that Forest boss Steve Cooper could look to take Rodon to the City Ground this summer, having worked with the defender at Swansea in the past.

Spurs Web Opinion

Rodon looks nailed on to leave Spurs this summer and I can see one of the newly-promoted Premier League sides snapping up the centre-back. With Sanchez (or potentially Tanganga) likely to follow the Welshman out of the door, I expect Tottenham to sign two central defenders this window.
