Football journalist Alasdair Gold has claimed that Matt Doherty will undergo a medical at Tottenham Hotspur tomorrow ahead of completing his switch to the former Champions League finalists (Football.London).
Gold reports that Spurs and Wolves have agreed a fee in the region of an initial fee of £12million which could increase in the future based on add-ons.
Spurs have been in the need of an addition at right-back after the club decided not to replace Kieran Trippier last summer and decided to allow Kyle Walker-Peters to join Southampton on a permanent basis following the end of the campaign.
The Republic of Ireland international has been at Molineux since 2010, when he was signed from Bohemians as a teenager.
Spurs are said to be keen to get a deal finalised before he links up with the national side on Sunday ahead of their Nations League match in Bulgaria on Tuesday.
Doherty will follow in the footsteps of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Joe Hart in joining Tottenham this summer.
