Wolverhampton Wanderers remain interested in Tottenham Hotspur defender Serge Aurier, according to The Sun journalist Alan Nixon.
The Ivory Coast right-back was originally reported to be part of a deal to bring Matt Doherty from Molineux to North London, only for Aurier to reject the proposal (Daily Star).
Aurier is instead said to prefer a move back to the continent with AC Milan said to be top of his list with interest also coming in the shape of Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen.
With Tottenham deciding against replacing Kieran Trippier following his move to Atletico Madrid last summer and the departure of Kyle Walker-Peters on loan at Southampton in January, Aurier was Mourinho’s first-choice right-back last season having made 33 appearances in the Premier League (transfermarkt).
The former PSG player is reported to have refused to hold talks with Tottenham over a new contract with his current deal set to expire in the summer of 2022 (transfermarkt).
WOLVES. Keeping an eye on Serge Aurier. Linked with Milan and PSG, still at SPURS. Poss swap or buy to replace Doherty. Maitland-Niles thing still to be done.
