Journalist claims speculation linking Bremer to Spurs ‘definitely has legs’

The Daily Mail’s Sami Mokbel has claimed that a move to Tottenham this summer is ‘definitely’ on the cards for Torino centre-back Gleison Bremer.

It has been suggested by Fabrizio Romano (on GiveMeSport) that Antonio Conte’s men are expected to continue to look for other defensive reinforcements even after the signing of Clement Lenglet.

It has been reported over the last couple of months that Bremer is another central defender on Tottenham’s wishlist (90min).

In what came as a potential blow to Spurs’ pursuit of the Brazilian, CalcioMercato claimed on Tuesday that the Torino star prefers to move to Inter Milan over joining a Premier League club.

However, Mokbel has now said on the Last Word On Spurs YouTube channel (starting at 39:27), that the speculation linking Bremer with a move to Spurs has ‘definitely got legs’

The journalist stated that apart from Lenglet, Conte wants to add one more central defender who can instantly improve his starting eleven.

Mokbel added that while moves for Alessandro Bastoni and Josko Gvardiol appear unlikely this summer, Bremer continues to be on Tottenham’s radar.

Spurs Web Opinion

If Tottenham were keen on Bremer and if the central defender was open to a move to the club, we would have likely made an offer for him already. I am not convinced that we will spend big on another centre-back this summer after signing Lenglet unless both Tanganga and Sanchez leave.
