Journalist Cesar Luis Merlo from TYCSports has reported that Tottenham and Atalanta have now finally reached an agreement on the price for Cristian Romero this summer.
It is said that the Serie A and Premier League sides have agreed on a fee of €50m plus €5m in bonuses for the central defender.
However, despite this fee being agreed, the journalist has added that Romero’s transfer will not yet be completed as Atalanta want to sign a replacement first.
The Italian outfit are reportedly interested in Merih Demiral from Juventus and will release Romero once a new central defender is signed.
Meanwhile, Spurs have apparently already agreed personal terms with the Argentine, who would join on a contract until 2026.
This comes after Tottenham sold one of their first-team centre-backs last week in Toby Alderweireld, who moved to Qatar after six seasons in North London.

Spurs Web Opinion:
If this is true and the price has been agreed, as well as personal terms, it appears as though Spurs will be getting their man, unless Atalanta somehow struggle to find any kind of suitable replacement, which would be unlikely.
