Journalist claims Spurs have enquired about defender – £34m price tag

Journalist, Nicolo Schira, has reported that Tottenham and Everton have both asked for information on Juventus central defender, Merih Demiral this summer.

Demiral is currently representing Turkey at Euro 2020 but got off to a horror start in his first game of the tournament against Italy on Friday.

Not only did Turkey and Demiral concede three in the match but the Juventus man also turned the opener into his own net after a cross was smashed into his body.

However, the central defender did show glimpses of promise against a very impressive Italian side, showing why two Premier League sides may be interested in him.

Schira also revealed that Juventus would want a sum of around €40m this summer to part ways with Demiral, or £34m. Although, TransferMarkt only believe he is worth around £25m in the current market.

The centre-back only played 24 times for the Italian giants last season, with only 15 of those coming in Serie A (TransferMarkt).
